Basic Bread Maker Amazon

(You should find it on amazon for around $60; its the 2 pound model) Comes in colors black or white

How to Make:

  1. Read the instructions to assemble your bread maker (making sure to keep it unplugged)

  2. Pull out a stick of butter. On the stick of butter you will see the measurements on the paper that its wrapped in. Cut the butter at the 3 tablespoons line. You will only need 3 tablespoons of butter for this recipe. You can place the rest back into the refrigerator. (Keep the 3 tablespoons of butter that you just cut, wrapped in original paper).

  3. Place it on the table

  4. In a bowl, pour in all of your wet ingredients (above) and mix it together until the egg is completely beaten.

  5. Sit the bowl of wet ingredients to the side for about an hour to allow it to become room temperature. (The bowl of wet ingredients and the butter should now both be on the table separately) Allow both to become room temperature.

  6. In another bowl, sift 3.5 cups of flour (add one tablespoon of cinnamon (optional))

  7. Sit the bowl of flour to the side

  8. In the bread maker, there will be a black bucket. Pull it out of your bread maker and sit in on the table.

  9. Pour in your entire bowl of mixed wet ingredients into the bucket first.

  10. With a knife, cut your butter into small pieces and place this inside the bucket on top of your wet mix.

  11. Sprinkle your 1.5 teaspoons of salt over the wet mix inside the bucket using a measuring spoon.

  12. Next, pour your flour into the bucket on top of the wet mix.

  13. With the handle of a spoon, make a hole in the center of the flour but don't make it too deep. It should NOT be deep enough to reach the wet mixture.

  14. With a different measuring spoon. Pour 3 teaspoons of active yeast into the hole that you dug inside the flour. DO NOT use the same measuring spoon as you did with the salt. When the salt and yeast touch each other, sometimes it does things that will not allow the bread to rise.

  15. Place the bucket inside the bread maker and twist until it locks in place (per instructions for the bread maker)

  16. Close the lid and turn the bread maker on.

  17. Make sure that the screen looks like the picture below (to the left) and you can press start. The bread maker will do the rest. This will make you a loaf of bread so that you will not have to go to the store. (complete)

  18. If you would like to make rolls, you will do the same steps all the way until step 17. From there you will place the menu on your dough setting instead and wait until its done (picture below to the right).

  19. Take the dough out and cut into even pieces (desired size) then roll them up into rolls. (should make about 16 (Example: I cut the big dough piece in half/ then I cut those two pieces in half/ then I cut those pieces in half/ then half them one more time to make 16).

  20. In a glass pirate dish, place down some parchment paper to line the bottom of the glass.

  21. Place the rolls into the glass dish with space in between each roll (make sure they are not touching/ this gives them room to grow).

  22. Place a towel over them and sit them in a cold over with the oven light on and wait for them to rise.

  23. Do Not turn the oven on. The longer you wait, the more they will rise. Give it at least an hour or more.

  24. Once they have risen, take the glass dish of rolls out of the oven and preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

  25. Make some egg wash (one egg and a little water mixed together) while you wait and brush them over your rolls.

  26. Place the rolls back into the oven uncovered and cook until they turn golden brown on top. (Complete)

  27. Enjoy!
