Yahweh's Feast Days, Sabbath  & Holy Convocation

"And unto his son will I give one tribe, that [King] David my servant may have a light alway before me in

Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen me to put my name there" (KJV, 1Ki 11:36, 2 Chr 6:6).

Yah has chosen Jerusalem as the place where his name shall be for ever (KJV, 2Ki 21:4, 21:7, 23:27; 2Chr 33:4, 33:7; Ezr 6:12).

  • 7th Day Sabbath (i.e., every SAT from sun up to sun down)

Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of YAHWEH in all your dwellings (KJV, Lev 23:3).

  • New Moon (i.e., the first day of every month/moon)

And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith YAHWEH (KJV, Isa 66:23).

Those Feast Days which you CAN keep outside the Land of Jerusalem

  • Feast of Trumpets

And Yahweh spake unto Moses saying, Speak unto the Children of YisraEl, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation. Ye shall do no servile work threin: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto YAHWEH (KJV, Lev 23:23-25; Num 29:1-6).

  • Day of Atonement

And YAHWEH spake unto Moses saying, Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convovation unto you: and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto YAHWEH. And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before YAHWEH your Elohim. For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people. And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people. Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath (KJV, Lev 23:26-32; Num 29:7-11).

  • Passover (A Feast Day which you CANNOT keep outside the Land of Jerusalem; i.e., you cannot sacrifice the passover while in captivity. See Hosea 3:4-5 where it states that the Children of YisraEl shall abide many days without a king, a prince, sacrifice, image, ephod, and teraphim)

  • Feast of Unleavened Bread (A Feast Day which you CANNOT keep outside the Land of Jerusalem)

However, during the first month of the New Year, you must still: (A) eat unleavened bread on the 14th day at evening; and (B) remove leavened bread from your habitations AND eat unleavened bread for seven days from the 15th through the 21st of the month at evening, as commanded in Exodus 12:18-20.

In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is YAHWEH's passover (KJV, Lev 23:5; Num 28:16). And YAHWEH spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you (KJV, Exo 12:1-2). Observe the month of Abib, and keep the passover unto YAHWEH, thy Elohim: for in the month of Abib YAHWEH thy Elohim brought thee forth out of Egypt by night. Thou shalt therefore sacrifice the passover unto YAHWEH thy Elohim, of the flock and the herd, in the place which YAHWEH shall choose to place his name there....for thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt in haste; that thou mayest remember the day when thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of thy life....Thou mayest not sacrifice the passover within any of thy gates, which YAHWEH thy Elohim giveth thee: But at the place which YAHWEH thy Elohim shall choose to place his name in, there thou shalt sacrifice the passover at even[ing], at the going down of the sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt (KJV, Deu 16:1-6). And thou shalt shew thy son in that day, saying, This is done because of that which YAHWEH did unto me when I came forth out of Egypt. And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that YAHWEH's law may be in thy mouth: for with a strong hand hath YAHWEH brought thee out of Egypt. Thou shalt therefore keep this ordinance in his season from year to year (KJV, Exo 13:8-10).

And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto YAHWEH: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread. In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation [in Jerusalem]: ye shall do no servile work therein. But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto YAHWEH seven days: in the seventh day is an holy convocation [in Jerusalem]: ye shall do no servile work therein (KJV, Lev 23:6-8; Num 28:17-25). And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to YAHWEH throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever. Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from YisraEl. And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation [in Jerusalem], and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation [in Jerusalem] to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you. And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever: In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even. Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of YisraEl, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land. Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread (KJV, Exo 12:14-20). See attached document for additional information.

Then ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings. • Feast of Tabernacles

And YAHWEH spake unto Moses saying, Speak unto the Children of YisraEl, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto YAHWEH. On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto YAHWEH: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you: and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto YAHWEH: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein (KJV, Lev 23:33-36; Num 29:12-38).

Seven days shalt thou keep a solemn feast unto YAHWEH thy Elohim in the place which YAHWEH shall choose: because YAHWEH thy Elohim shall bless thee in all thine increase, and in all the works of thine hands, therefore thou shalt surely rejoice (KJV, Deu 16: 13-15).

Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before YAHWEH thy Elohim in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before YAHWEH empty: Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of YAHWEH thy Elohim which he hath given thee (KJV, Deu 16:16-17).
