Lucifer vs. Satan & The Serpent

I [YAHWEH] will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight:

I will break in pieces the gates of brass,

and cut in sunder the bars of iron:
And I will give thee the treasures of darkness,

and hidden riches of secret places,

that thou mayest know that I, YAHWEH,

which call thee by thy name, am the Elohim of YisraEl.
For Jacob my servant's sake, and YisraEl mine elect,

I have even called thee by thy name:

I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.
I am YAHWEH, and there is none else, there is no Elohim beside me:

I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:
That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west,

that there is none beside me. I am YAHWEH, and there is none else.
I form the light, and create darkness:

I make peace, and create evil:

I YAHWEH do all these things

(Isaiah 45:2-7)

Lucifer is a man (an oppressor)

(aka The Nation/People of Babylon to include the Daughter of Babylon)

For YAHWEH will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose YisraEl, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob. And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of YisraEl shall possess them in the land of YAHWEH for servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.

And it shall come to pass in the day that YAHWEH shall give thee [YisraEl] rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,  That thou shalt take up this proverb against the King of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!  YAHWEH hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers. He [which is a  singular pronoun representing a nation or people] who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.

The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing. Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us. Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.  All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us?

Thy pomp [i.e., ceremony or splendid display] is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols [i.e., instruments]: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee. How art thou fallen from heaven [i.e., above the earth in the sky but not the heaven of heaven where YAH sits], O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of Elohim: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like The Most High.

Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened NOT the house of his prisoners? All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house.

But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet. Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned. Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities. For I will rise up against them, saith YAHWEH of hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, saith YAHWEH. I will also make it a possession for the bittern, and pools of water: and I will sweep it with the besom of destruction, saith YAHWEH of hosts.

YAHWEH of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand: That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders. This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations.

For YAHWEH of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back? In the year that king Ahaz died was this burden. Rejoice not thou, whole Palestina, because the rod of him that smote thee is broken: for out of the serpent's root shall come forth a cockatrice, and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent. And the firstborn of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall lie down in safety: and I will kill thy root with famine, and he shall slay thy remnant.

Howl, O gate; cry, O city; thou, whole Palestina, art dissolved: for there shall come from the north a smoke, and none shall be alone in his appointed times.  What shall one then answer the messengers of the nation? That YAHWEH hath founded Zion, and the poor of his people shall trust in it (Isaiah 14).

Satan is a spirit

YAHWEH is the Elohim of the spirits of all flesh (Numbers 16:22; 27:16), and he maketh his angels spirits (Psalm 104:4). In addition, YAHWEH places his spirit upon his prophets (Numbers 11:25-29; 1 Samuel 10:6-25), and it is his spirit that gathered the book of the law (aka the Holy Scriptures; Isaiah 34:16) which is replete with references to spirits taking on human features, characterisitics,  personification and actions or behaviors, as directed by YAHWEH. See scriptural excerpts further below. YAHWEH is the Elohim of all types of spirits to include:

  • the spirit of wisdom (Exodus 28:3; Deuteronomy 34:9)

  • the spirit of jealousy (Numbers 5:14, 30)

  • the spirit of evil (Judges 9:23; 1 Samuel 16:14-23, 18:10, 19:9)

  • the lying spirit (1 King 22:22-23; 2 Chronicles 18:21-22)

  • the spirit of burning (Isaiah 4:4)

  • the spirit of judgment (Isaiah 4:4, 28:5)

  • the spirit of counsel (Isaiah 11:2)

  • the spirit of fear (Isaiah 11:2)

  • the spirit of knowledge (Isaiah 11:2)

  • the spirit of might (Isaiah 11:2)

  • the spirit of understanding (Isaiah 11:2)

  • the perverse spirit (Isaiah 19:14)

  • the spirit of deep sleep (Isaiah 29:10)

  • the spirit of heaviness (Isaiah 61:3)

  • the spirit of whoredom (Hosea 4:12, 5:4)

  • the spirit of grace (Zechariah 12:10)

  • the spirit of supplication (Zechariah 12:10)

  • the unclean spirit (Zechariah 13:2)

Satan & King David

And Satan stood up against YisraEl, and provoked [King] David to number YisraEl.  And [King] David said to Joab and to the rulers of the people, Go, number YisraEl from Beersheba even to Dan; and bring the number of them to me, that I may know it...Joab departed, and went throughout all YisraEl, and came to Jerusalem. And Joab gave the sum of the number of the people unto [King] David. And all they of YisraEl were a thousand thousand and an hundred thousand men that drew sword: and Judah was four hundred threescore and ten thousand men that drew sword. But Levi and Benjamin counted he not among them: for the king's word was abominable to Joab. And Elohim was displeased with this thing; therefore he smote YisraEl.

And [KIng] David said unto Elohim, I have sinned greatly, because I have done this thing: but now, I beseech thee, do away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly....And [King] David said unto Elohim, Is it not I that commanded the people to be numbered? even I it is that have sinned and done evil indeed; but as for these sheep, what have they done? let thine hand, I pray thee, O YAHWEH my Elohim, be on me, and on my father's house; but not on thy people, that they should be plagued.  Then the angel of YAHWEH commanded Gad to say to [King] David, that he should go up, and set up an altar unto the YAHWEH in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite (1 Chronicles 21: 1-7).

Satan & Job

Now there was a day when the sons of Elohim came to present themselves before YAHWEH, and Satan came also among them. And YAHWEH said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered YAHWEH, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. And YAHWEH said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth Elohim, and escheweth [i.e., avoid or abstain from] evil? Then Satan answered YAHWEH, and said, Doth Job fear Elohim for nought? Hast not thou made an hedge [i.e., fence or boundary] about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face. And YAHWEH said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of YAHWEH (Job 1:6-12).

Again there was a day when the sons of Elohim came to present themselves before YAHWEH, and Satan came also among them to present himself before YAHWEH. And YAHWEH said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered YAHWEH, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. And YAHWEH said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth Elohim, and escheweth [i.e., avoid or abstain from] evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause. And Satan answered YAHWEH, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life. But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face. And YAHWEH said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life. So went Satan forth from the presence of YAHWEH, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown (Job 2:1-7).

Satan & King David again

Hold not thy peace, O Elohim of my praise; For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue. They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause. For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer. And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love. Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand. When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin. Let his days be few; and let another take his office. Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow. Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places. Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labour. Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children. Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out. Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with YAHWEH; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out. Let them be before YAHWEH continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth  (Psalm 109).

Satan & Joshua

And he shewed me Joshua, the high priest, standing before the angel of YAHWEH, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him. And YAHWEH said unto Satan, YAHWEH rebuke thee, O Satan; even YAHWEH that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?  Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel. And answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment. And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of YAHWEH stood by. And the angel of YAHWEH protested unto Joshua, saying, Thus saith YAHWEH of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by. Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH. For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith YAHWEH of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day. In that day, saith YAHWEH of hosts, shall ye call every man his neighbour under the vine and under the fig tree (Zechariah 3).

The Serpent

By his spirit YAHWEH hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent (Job 26:13). The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies. Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder [i.e., venomous snake] that stoppeth her ear (Psalm 58:3-4).

  • Now the serpent was more subtil [i.e., shrewd, crafty and sly] than any beast of the field which YAHWEH Elohim had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath Elohim said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, Elohim hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For Elohim doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as elohims, knowing good and evil (Genesis 3:1-5).

  • And YAHWEH Elohim said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me [i.e., to charm or enchant someone deceptively], and I did eat. And YAHWEH Elohim said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: And I will put enmity [hatred] between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel (Genesis 3:13-15).

  • And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days. Gather yourselves together, and hear, ye sons of Jacob; and hearken unto Israel your father.....Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of YisraEl. Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder [venomous serpent] in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward. I have waited for thy salvation, O YAHWEH. Gad, a troop shall overcome him: but he shall overcome at the last. All these...tribes of YisraEl: and this is it that their father [Jacob] spake unto them, and blessed them; every one according to his blessing he blessed them (Genesis 49:1-28).

  • And YAHWEH sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of YisraEl died. Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against YAHWEH, and against thee; pray unto YAHWEH, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. And YAHWEH said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.  And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived (Numbers 21:6-9).

  • Of the Rock that begat thee YisraEl art unmindful, and hast forgotten Elohim that formed thee. And when YAHWEH saw it, he abhorred [loathed] them, because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters. And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith. They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not Elohim; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation. For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains. I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend mine arrows upon them. They shall be burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, and with bitter destruction: I will also send the teeth of beasts upon them, with the poison of serpents of the dust (Deuteronomy 32:1-24).

  • Knowest thou not this of old, since man was placed upon earth, That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment? Though his excellency mount up to the heavens, and his head reach unto the clouds; Yet he shall perish for ever like his own dung: they which have seen him shall say, Where is he? He shall fly away as a dream, and shall not be found: yea, he shall be chased away as a vision of the night. The eye also which saw him shall see him no more; neither shall his place any more behold him. His children shall seek to please the poor, and his hands shall restore their goods. His bones are full of the sin of his youth, which shall lie down with him in the dust. Though wickedness be sweet in his mouth, though he hide it under his tongue; Though he spare it, and forsake it not; but keep it still within his mouth: Yet his meat in his bowels is turned, it is the gall [i.e., bitter poison] of asps [venomous snake] within him. He hath swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again: Elohim shall cast them out of his belly. He shall suck the poison of asps [venomous snake] : the viper's tongue shall slay him (Job 20:4-16).

  • Deliver me, O YAHWEH, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man; Which imagine mischiefs in their heart; continually are they gathered together for war. They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders' poison is under their lips. Selah. Keep me, O YAHWEH, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings (Psalm 140:1-4).

  • Surely the serpent will bite without enchantment; and a babbler is no better. The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious; but the lips of a fool will swallow up himself. The beginning of the words of his mouth is foolishness: and the end of his talk is mischievous madness. A fool also is full of words: a man cannot tell what shall be; and what shall be after him, who can tell him? The labour of the foolish wearieth every one of them, because he knoweth not how to go to the city (Ecclesiastes 10:11-15).

  • For I will rise up against them, saith YAHWEH of hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, saith YAHWEH. Rejoice not thou, whole Palestina, because the rod of him that smote thee is broken: for out of the serpent's root shall come forth a cockatrice [i.e., poisonous snake], and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent (Isaiah 14:22-29).

  • Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold, YAHWEH cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain. In that day YAHWEH with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan [i.e., a symbol of Babylon] the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea (Isaiah 26:20-27:1).

  • Woe to the rebellious children, saith YAHWEH, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin: That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt! Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion...The burden of the beasts of the south: into the land of trouble and anguish, from whence come the young and old lion, the viper and fiery flying serpent, they will carry their riches upon the shoulders of young asses, and their treasures upon the bunches of camels, to a people that shall not profit them. For the Egyptians shall help in vain, and to no purpose: therefore have I cried concerning this, Their strength is to sit still. Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever: That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of YAHWEH: Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits....And therefore will YAHWEH wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for YAHWEH is an Elohim of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him (Isaiah 30:1-18).

  • Behold, YAHWEH's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your Elohim, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity. They hatch cockatrice' [poisonous snake] eggs, and weave the spider's web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper [venomous snake]. Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.  Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths. The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace (Isaiah 59:1-8).

  • For, behold, I [YAHWEH] create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying. There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed. And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of YAHWEH, and their offspring with them. And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith YAHWEH (Isaiah 65:17-25).

  • At that time, saith YAHWEH, they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves: And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth. And death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of them that remain of this evil family, which remain in all the places whither I have driven them, saith YAHWEH of hosts.... For, behold, I will send serpents, cockatrices, among you, which will not be charmed, and they shall bite you, saith YAHWEH.

When I would comfort myself against sorrow, my heart is faint in me....For the hurt of the daughter of my people am I hurt....Take ye heed every one of his neighbour, and trust ye not in any brother: for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbour will walk with slanders. And they will deceive every one his neighbour, and will not speak the truth: they have taught their tongue to speak lies, and weary themselves to commit iniquity. Thine habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, saith YAHWEH (Jeremiah 8:1-9:6).

  • I saw YAHWEH standing upon the altar: and he said, Smite the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword: he that fleeth of them shall not flee away, and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered. Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down: And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them: And though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good....Are ye not as children of the Ethiopians unto me, O Children of YisraEl? saith YAHWEH. Have not I brought up YisraEl out of the land of Egypt? and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir? Behold, the eyes of YAHWEH Elohim are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith YAHWEH (Amos 9:1-8).

  • The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net. That they may do evil with both hands earnestly, the prince asketh, and the judge asketh for a reward; and the great man, he uttereth his mischievous desire: so they wrap it up. The best of them is as a brier: the most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen and thy visitation cometh; now shall be their perplexity. Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.

For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house. Therefore I will look unto YAHWEH; I will wait for the Elohim of my salvation: my Elohim will hear me. Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, YAHWEH shall be a light unto me. I will bear the indignation of YAHWEH, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness. Then she that is mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her which said unto me, Where is YAHWEH thy Elohim? mine eyes shall behold her: now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.

In the day that thy walls are to be built, in that day shall the decree be far removed. In that day also he shall come even to thee from Assyria, and from the fortified cities, and from the fortress even to the river, and from sea to sea, and from mountain to mountain. Notwithstanding the land shall be desolate because of them that dwell therein, for the fruit of their doings. Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thine heritage, which dwell solitarily in the wood, in the midst of Carmel: let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.

According to the days of thy coming out of the land of Egypt will I shew unto him marvellous things. The nations shall see and be confounded at all their might: they shall lay their hand upon their mouth, their ears shall be deaf. They shall lick the dust like a serpent, they shall move out of their holes like worms of the earth: they shall be afraid of YAHWEH our Elohim, and shall fear because of thee. Who is an Elohim like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old (Micah 7:2-20).

Remember......

If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of YAHWEH thy Elohim,

to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law,

and if thou turn unto YAHWEH thy Elohim with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.
For this commandment which I command thee this day,

it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.
It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say,

Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say,

Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth,

and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.
 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;
In that I command thee this day to love YAHWEH thy Elohim,

to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments

and his statutes and his judgments,

that thou mayest live and multiply:

and YAHWEH thy Elohim shall bless thee

in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear,

but shalt be drawn away, and worship other elohims, and serve them;
I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish,

and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land,

whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you,

that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing:

therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
That thou mayest love YAHWEH thy Elohim,

and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him:

for he is thy life, and the length of thy days:

that thou mayest dwell in the land which YAHWEH sware unto thy fathers,

to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them

(Deuteronomy 30:10-20)
