Black Hebrew Yisraelites - The Covenant People
The Seven Everlasting Covenants Between YAH & The Children of YisraEl
1. The Covenant of Circumcision (Genesis 17:1-14)
And when Abram [aka Abraham] was ninety years old and nine, YAHWEH appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am YAHWEH Elohim; walk before me, and be thou perfect. And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly. And Abram fell on his face: and Elohim talked with him, saying, As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be an Elohim unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan [YisraEl], for an everlasting possession; and I will be their Elohim. And Elohim said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations. This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised. And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you. And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed. He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant. And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant.
2. The Perpetual Covenant of Sabbath (Exodus 31:15-16; Leviticus 24:8)
Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to YAHWEH: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. Wherefore the Children of YisraEl shall keep thesabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between me and the children of YisraEl for ever... Every sabbath he shall set it in order before YAHWEH continually, being taken from the Children of YisraEl by an everlasting covenant.
3. The Ten Commandments (Exodus 34:27-28; Deuteronomy 29:9-29)
And YAHWEH said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and YisraEl. And he was there with YAHWEH forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments. (See also Deuteronomy 4:1-13).
Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that ye may prosper in all that ye do. Ye stand this day all of you before YAHWEH your Elohim; your captains of your tribes, your elders, and your officers, with all the men of YisraEl, Your little ones, your wives, and thy stranger that is in thy camp, from the hewer of thy wood unto the drawer of thy water: That thou shouldest enter into covenant with
YAHWEH thy Elohim, and into his oath, which YAHWEH thy Elohim maketh with thee this day: That he may establish thee to day for a people unto himself, and that he may be unto thee an Elohim, as he hath said unto thee, and as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob [aka YisraEl].
Neither with you only do I make this covenant and this oath; But with him that standeth here with us this day before YAHWEH our Elohim, and also with him that is not here with us this day: (For ye know how we have dwelt in the land of Egypt; and how we came through the nations which ye passed by; And ye have seen their abominations, and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which were among them:) Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from YAHWEH our Elohim, to go and serve the dieties of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood; And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst: YAHWEH will not spare him, but then the anger of YAHWEH and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book [aka Old Testament or Holy Scriptures] shall lie upon him, and YAHWEH shall blot out his name from under heaven. And YAHWEH shall separate him unto evil out of all the tribes of YisraEl, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this book of the law: So that the generation to come of your children that shall rise up after you, and the stranger that shall come from a far land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses which YAHWEH hath laid upon it; And that the whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any grass groweth therein, like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which YAHWEH overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath: Even all nations shall say, Wherefore hath YAHWEH done thus unto this land? what meaneth the heat of this great anger? Then men shall say, Because they have forsaken the covenant of YAHWEH Elohim of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them forth out of the land of Egypt: For they went and served other dieties, and worshipped them, dieties whom they knew not, and whom he had not given unto them: And the anger of YAHWEH was kindled against this land, to bring upon it all the curses that are written in this book: And YAHWEH rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day. The secret things belong unto YAHWEH our Elohim: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.
4. The Covenant of David (Isaiah 55:3-4; Psalm 89:27-37; Ezekiel 37:24-28)
Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I [YAHWEH] will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of [King] David. Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.
I [YAHWEH] will make him [King David] my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth. My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him. His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven. If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments; If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments; Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stipes. Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail. My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto [King] David. His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me. It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.
And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them. And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant [King] David shall be their prince for ever. Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore. My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their Elohim, and they shall be my people. And the heathen shall know that I YAHWEH do sanctify YisraEl, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.
5. The Covenant of Day (Jeremiah 31:35-36; 33:19-21)
Thus saith YAHWEH, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; YAHWEH of hosts is his name: If those ordinances depart from before me, saith YAHWEH, then the seed of YisraEl also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.
Thus saith YAHWEH; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night, and that there should not be day and night in their season; Then may also my covenant be broken with [King] David my servant...
6. The Covenant of Night (Jeremiah 31:35-36; 33:19-21)
7. The New Covenant (Jeremiah 31:31-34)
Behold, the days come, saith YAHWEH, that I will make a new covenant with the house of YisraEl, and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith YAHWEH: But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of YisraEl; After those days, saith YAHWEH, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their Elohim, and they shall be my people. And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know YAHWEH: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith YAHWEH: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
The secret of YAHWEH is with them that fear him; and he will show them his covenant (Psalm 25:24).
And YAHWEH spoke unto Moses saying....upon them that are left alive of you I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; and the sound of a shaken leaf shall chase them; and they shall flee, as fleeing from a sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth.
And they shall fall one upon another, as it were before a sword, when none pursueth: and ye shall have no power to stand before your enemies.
And ye shall perish among the heathen, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up. And they that are left of you shall pine away in their iniquity in your enemies' lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them. If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me;
And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity: Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land. The land also shall be left of them, and shall enjoy her sabbaths, while she lieth desolate without them: and they shall accept of the punishment of their iniquity: because, even because they despised my judgments, and because their soul abhorred my statutes. And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I am YAHWEH their Elohim. But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their Elohim: I am YAHWEH. These are the statutes and judgments and laws, which YAHWEH made between him and the Children of YsraEl in Mount Sinai by the hand of Moses (Leviticus 24:1 & 26:36-46).
